Demolition Works to St. Patricks Barricks Ballymena. In these Premises MCB Were in charge of the demolition of 2 separate buildings. MCB were the Main Contractor for this project and the Contacting Authority were Construction Procurement Delivery (CPD)

At the beginning of the project MCB Civils completed the demolition of two smaller buildings which consisted off removal of asbestos both non licensed and licensed, soft strip of building and then demolition of the buildings. After this work was completed MCB commenced work on the main building. Firstly, we began by completing the removal of non-licensed asbestos and for the removal of licensed asbestos it was completed by MCE Services.

All asbestos was disposed of site and sent to a licensed facility. This allowed MCB Civil to continue with the project and complete a soft strip/salvage works throughout the entire building which involves the removal of all non-structural elements of the interior and exterior. While completing the strip out all waste was loaded into skips and was sent away for recycle.

MCB completed the demolition of Building 17 down to slab level and afterwards commenced with the crushing off all materials on site and either used for fill or taking off site. After all was completed, we then finished by grading the entire site area to its correct level.
